A group of believers met on Sunday afternoon, March 30, 1958, in the house of Robert Bruhn in Elberta, Alabama with the purpose of forming a new church. The unanimous choice for a name was the Berean Baptist Church. Now, for just over fifty years, under the leadership of great men of God, He has blessed Berean Baptist as the church continues to help serve the community, but most importantly bear a shining light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
On Father's Day, 2002 God led Robert Evans to be our pastor. Under his direction the church has seen steady growth. In 2010 a construction project was taken on to remodel the church auditorium. The dedication for the building was on February 7, 2010
